Communities Against Digester

Welcome to The Communities Against Digester website. This web site is the central point of communication between the Communities Against Digester (CAD) and the general public.

CAD was put together as a response to a proposed development by FD Bird & Sons – who own the land on which the development is proposed to be built.

CAD are committed to fighting this proposed AD plant as we believe it is on an inappropriate site and that we need to protect our rural environment and the health and well-being of our residents not only in Leven but the surrounding villages of Brandesburton, Catwick, Long Riston, Tickton and Skirlaugh.

CAD is not against Anaerobic Digestion as a source of renewable energy, but we are vehemently opposed to this proposed development for reasons that are outlined on the INFORMATION page, but we can not fight this industrialisation of our countryside alone, we need your help.

You can click through to the GET INVOLVED page at any stage where we will outline what we need you to do and how to do it.  As we are currently preparing for an appeal, and commissioning the the (costly) professional support that will be required for that process, you will also find details on this page of how to get involved with our fundraising efforts.

We will also be using social media to raise the profile of our campaign so follow us on Twitter or Facebook for the very latest news and developments.

Thank you for visiting the website, please take time to SAY NO to this proposed industrial development.
