RAWS and Ramsbottom residents objections to the proposal 57118 have not changed since Peel/Tamar last application in 2013.

Ramsbottom Against the Waste Site (RAWS) is the name given to the group of Ramsbottom residents leading the protest against the proposed Anaerobic Digestion (AD) & landfill applications by Tamar, Marshalls & Peel Holdings at Fletcher Bank Quarry, Ramsbottom.

The group, which comprises of many professional people from varied walks of life, was formed following a ‘so called’ public consultation exercise conducted by the applicants at Ramsbottom Civic Hall, in July 2013 at which residents of Ramsbottom were given the glossy PR details of the applications. Many residents had only been alerted up to this point of the proposals, through articles in the press and newsletters from a local councillor.
